The first bravo of 2021 goes to PNC Bank. Thanks to its support of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO), PNC will be the presenting sponsor of the DSO’s Next Stage Digital Concert Series for 2020- 2021.

And why not? Such a program. After the COVID-19 life sunk in, the DSO launched the Series in September producing ten concert videos that were available to music lovers throughout the world.

Recorded at the Meyerson, each week the DSO released a new concert performance featuring Music Director Fabio Luisi and a variety of guest conductors and soloists.

Thanks to PNC’s years of supporting the DSO, the incredible series is available three different ways. They’re absolutely free with a DSO subscription; $125 will provide a digital pass for the  season; or $10 per concert.

According to Ross Perot President/CEO Kim Noltemy, “We are thankful for PNC’s sponsorship and support for our Next Stage Digital Concert Series. PNC has always understood the role of the arts in the fabric of a city, and they are helping us share music in new ways.”

While the pandemic’s downsides are too numerous to count, there have been some programs and organizations that have adapted and grown new avenues to not only survive but to be put into place for the future. Unfortunately, the arts community has faced a Herculean challenge during this time.

Understanding the importance of the North Texas arts community and supporting DSO since 2017, PNC Bank in North Texas Regional President Brendan McGuire commented, “The effects of the pandemic have been far reaching across the region and our arts and culture community has certainly faced their own significant challenges as a result. We believe it is vitally important to the economic future of North Texas to support digital innovation across the arts, as organizations — like the Dallas Symphony Orchestra — look to expand access to their important work and their artists.”

So, if you’ve considered the magic of DSO music a luxury, why not test the waters by signing up for the per-concert offer. But if you’re smart, you’ll check out the levels of membership. It includes perks that your friends will envy. Each week you’ll have a new tune to lavish on your adorable ears.
