New York Times Opinion editor Stuart Thompson has an interesting story — “Find Your Place In The Vaccine Line” — on how the vaccine roll out will take place. In the story, the reader fills out four basic questions:
- How old are you?
- What county do you live in?
- Do you work in four professions (healthcare worker, essential worker, first responder, teacher) or none of these?
- Do you have COVID-related health risks?
The reader then hits the “submit” button and learns where their place would be in line to receive the vaccine.
The results are based on research done by the Times, the Surgo Foundation and Ariadne Labs.
Here is a link to the questionnaire. Be prepared for the results. But as the Times reminds “These are just estimates and the line may ultimately be shorter.”
Regardless where your place is, keep wearing those masks and staying close … but at a distance.
