According to ChildCareGroup volunteer Amy McEvoy,
“I’m Amy McEvoy, a Dallas mom of three and long-time volunteer for the region’s largest and oldest early education provider, ChildCareGroup. I am passionate about the work they do caring for and educating 40,000 North, Central and Southeast Texas children so their parents can join the workforce and break cycles of poverty.
“This year, my husband Patrick McEvoy and I, with our children Grace, Ford and Georgia, are chairing ChildCareGroup’s holiday campaign, which includes an online gift request to ensure CCG’s children receive gifts this holiday season. As I like to say, it’s never too early to start shopping when you have 909 kids in your direct care! To make things easy, seamless, and COVID-safe, we created online gift registries filled with items we know ChildCareGroup students need based on observations from their teachers.

Online shopping gives donors a way to touch families’ hearts without having to leave their homes during a pandemic. Speaking from personal experience, our family loved kicking off the holidays by focusing first on others and picking out coats and toys we know will make someone else’s holiday bright. I hope you will consider joining the effort by purchasing one or more items from the Amazon and Target registry links listed on ChildCareGroup’s website https://childcaregroup.org/get-involved/christmas-gift-campaign by Tuesday, December 15. Your donations will be delivered directly to ChildCareGroup’s office for wrapping and doorstep delivery to families.”
