According to Gracelyn’s Hope Founder Gracelyn Hope Nix,
I’m 12 years old living my dream of having my own charity, Gracelyn’s Hope. My dream has always been to help kids directly, not through medical bills or anything really that the kids may not notice. Once I came up with a name for my charity I knew what it would stand for—my middle name, Hope, stands for Health, Optimism, Poverty and Education.
About a year back a school, Lida Hooe Elementary School, a school in poverty, reached out to me asking for help. I did a book and board game drive for them, able to give every kid a book and some, a board game.
I noticed not many of them were wearing jackets. Recently we made our first sweatshirts to raise money by selling them, then thought what if we made sweatshirts for the kids for the winter? By now I’m guessing you know where this is going! I ask that we can get donations to be able to supply the 390 kids at Lida Hooe elementary with sweatshirts for this winter!
Please visit Gracelynshope.org to make a donation and to learn more about my charity!
