JUST IN: Longtime Fundraising Volunteer Susan Farris Named 2022 Crystal Charity Ball Chair

Nov 4, 2020 1:30 PM by Jeanne Prejean

Following a grueling 2020, the Crystal Charity Ball committee is looking to brighter days … or make that brighter years ahead. It has just been announced by 2021 CCB Chair Leslie Diers that 2020 Underwriting Chair Susan Farris has been named 2021 CCB Chair-Elect/2022 CCB Chair.

According to Leslie, “Susan’s extensive experience in the Dallas community, her proven fundraising skills, intellect, generous and kind spirit and commitment to this organization will ensure the continued success of Crystal Charity Ball.”

Since joining CCB in 2009, Susan has chaired various committees (Underwriting, Special Gifts, Ball Reservations, Arrangements, Foundations, Charity Selection and Silent Auction Special Gifts Distribution), as well as co-chairing Contribution Tickets.

Her leadership experience also includes chairing the JDRF Luncheon and La Fiesta de Las Seis Banderas,  co-chairing Contact Crisis Line Luncheon and The Salvation Army of North Texas Luncheon and serving as a board member of Children’s Medical Center Foundation.

Her selection was made by the 2021 Leadership Committee made up of Leslie, 2021 Leadership Selection Committee Chair Pat McEvoy (2019 CCB Chair), active members Tiffany Divis, Cheryl Joyner, Peggy Meyer, Daffan Nettle, Mary Martha Pickens, Kim Quinn, Brooke Shelby, Stacey Walker and past CCB chairs Caren Kline (2013), Debbie Oates (2009), Connie O’Neill (2011) and Pam Perella (2017).

Since its founding in 1953, CCB has provided $149,387,669 for Dallas County nonprofits benefiting children.
