According to Brotherhood Charities Corp Executive Secretary Hilda Delgado,
Brotherhood Charities Corp started in 2015 with a single thought and a single action.
Printice T. Green saw a man who needed something to eat, so he fed him. With that one single act of kindness an uncontrollable feeling of joy came over him. At that moment he understood what his reason for living was. That was a feeling he needed to feel again. Feeding that fellow man stuck in his head and with that the Feed-A-Fellow program was formed. By feeding men we give them the strength to work and provide. By feeding women we give them the strength to nurture and support. By feeding children we strengthen their minds to learn and explore. Attacking all three problems at once we feel that we can see change faster with a more solid foundation.
Since 2015 when we started it has been a steady increase in the need for food in the homeless community and for families that have fallen into hard times. Only through programs like the North Texas Giving Day, volunteers, funds from donors and other nonprofit organizations can goals be met, can problems be solved and will communities get strengthened.
By Brotherhood Charities Corp being selected to be a part of the North Texas Giving Day, we hope to bring awareness to the homeless population and keep families that need help in our hearts and mind.
From Brotherhood Charities to other to all other non-profits, “Keep up the good work. If change is to come we’re going to bring it! No waiting!” – Printice T. Green
