A year ago, North Texas Giving Day had hauled in $17.5M for 2,824 North Texas nonprofits by noon. The goal was to pass the 2018 total of $48M for 2,690 nonprofits.
Rallied by the fundraising gut punches provided by COVID-19, North Texans are already beating those previous numbers. By 9:30 a.m. more than $19.5M had already been donated to 2,977 organizations.
And equally important, nearly 8,000 volunteers have pledged almost 260,000 hours.
The momentum is rolling, so don’t let it slow down. Today’s funding may make the difference in whether vital services and programs will continue to help your neighbors.
So, take a look at the nonprofits and consider donating money and/or time. You’ve got until 11:59 p.m. to get involved.
