2020 is definitely requiring flexibility. While many fundraising events are juggling schedules and locations to meet the ever-changing COVID-19 conditions, 2020 Cattle Baron’s Ball Co-Chairs Diana Hamilton and Heather Randall decided “to embrace our roots.” And they aren’t talking about the follicle types.
For years, the American Cancer Society mega-fundraiser was held outdoors at area ranches, as well as at Southfork. In recent years it had gone “under cover” at Gilley’s.

Earlier this year it was announced that the shindig was going to be held at Frisco’s The Star.
Then the virus arrived and resulted in definite changes of how events were to be held with social distancing as a priority. Diana and Heather recognized that social distancing was better achieved in wide open spaces. With that in mind, they have moved the cocktails, great food, fun and entertainers Dierks Bentley and Cole Swindell outdoors.

Where, you wonder? Wonder no longer. Instead of heading to far-off locations, the Baronesses will be calling Klyde Warren Park the place to party and raise funds on Saturday, October 17.
No doubt Klyde Warren Park President Kit Sawers is already shopping for a new pair of boots to celebrate the first ever Cattle Baron’s Ball held in Downtown Dallas’ sweetheart of a park.
