There are definite advantages to posting events on the MySweetCharity Calendar. Besides letting the rest of the North Texas community know that you’ve got an event on that date, you also get another perk thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. When coronavirus wiped out most of the spring 2020 activities, MSC created a series — Canceled Event SOS — for those nonprofits that had their events on the Calendar and suffered the loss.
In the meantime, the organizations that rescheduled the events listed on the MSC Calendar to future dates are now getting their own series — We’ve Rescheduled! — that kicks off tomorrow. The hope is that it will help get the word out to sponsors and guests who will come on board.
Suggestion: If you have a North Texas fundraiser, get it listed on the MSC Calendar by submitting it here. It’s simple, it’s easy, and it’s free… unless you want to add some whistles and bells for a wee fee.

Think the Event SOS is a great idea – thank you for ingeniously thinking of that! How can I add a narrative about our cancelled event with details to still donate? The Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum 2020 Spring Fundraiser.

Barbara, thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, the Event SOS, like the We’ve Rescheduled! series, was limited to events that had been listed on the MySweetCharity Calendar. According to our records, no one submitted the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum 2020 Spring fundraiser for the Calendar. So very sorry that we can’t help, but please submit future events on MSC Calendar.
