According to Equest CEO Lili Kellogg,
For 39 years, Equest has enhanced the lives of children and adults with diverse needs using horses to bring hope and healing through equine assisted activities and therapies. In response to the regulations set by government agencies, we cancelled our largest fundraiser, Equest’s 2020 Gala, “An Evening in Old Hollywood,” scheduled for Saturday, April 25.
We were so looking forward to seeing our 500 supporters have a wonderful evening in celebration of Equest, and to raise the necessary funds to serve more than 2,000 clients annually through the power of the human-horse connection. The cancellation of our gala is detrimental to our fundraising goals, and we now have to recover $350,000 of expected income toward our operating budget.
We are very grateful to our gala sponsors, table hosts and ticket purchasers who gave us their blessing and permission to keep their donations for operations, but we still have a long way to go! We need your support!! Any gift amount will be a huge help toward keeping Equest viable, strong and ready to serve our clients when we can resume programing.
Visit our website at www.equest.org and click on “Donate”. It’s easy and safe to give online, and your donation is fully tax deductible.
