You’ve got to hand it to North Texans. They’re not going to let others crater because of some nasty little bug.
Word has just arrived that people are buying gift cards from local shops and services that are fearful of suspending operations in the future. As one person put it, “I’m simply investing in their future. They don’t know what lies ahead, and I want to ease their anxiety. Once this d-mned thing is over, it’s the first place I’m going to hit.”
Not only are they helping others financially, they’re letting these shopkeepers and others know they are needed and wanted.
And while you’re in the philanthropic mood, consider buying tickets or even memberships for your favorite arts group. If you’re already a season holder or a members, you can always gift it to a friend.
So, whether it’s your favorite restaurant, your manicurist, your dog groomer or arts group, consider “investing” in their future and yours.

This is good information! In the midst of all this and challenges that we are facing, it’s good to know that we are creating unity in the communities we serve. We are re-evaluating how we do business and how we can thrive. As difficult as it may seem during this time, we are stronger day after day and realizing the power we have to shape the communities throughout the world. We will dream bigger and have bigger visions. We will embrace the smallest contributions we make with the understanding that even if we change one life, that one life is a change and we are making a difference.
Change is not easy, but at times we have no choices but to adapt.
May we be strong and continue to support one another. May we not be discouraged but encouraged to do good. We are in this together. Take care!
