According to Fredye Factor,
I was at the grocery store in the quick checkout line and an elderly African American man was in front of me. He had a big jar of peanut butter, a loaf of bread, and a gallon of water. I stepped up and said I wanted to pay for his groceries. He was startled, but said “God bless you.”
As I was going to my car, I heard many people saying, “Thank you.” I looked up and there was an old school bus with a Baptist Church name on the side. Little did I know, I just bought lunch for all those people. They waved and said thank you as they were driving away.
Kind actions do not cost much, yet they accomplish much.
