Between Gov. Greg Abbott’s decision to limit gatherings statewide to 10 people until Friday, April 3, and many folks just returning to North Texas from spring break, today changes of plans were at a minimum. Whew!
However, next week may result in more adjustments with folks putting their heads together. So, let’s enjoy a relatively quiet Friday with less than a handful of notices, including the following:
Canceled
- Rainbow Days’ 2020 Pot of Gold Luncheon scheduled for Friday, April 17
Rescheduled
- Sweetheart Ball on Saturday, April 4, at Brook Hollow Golf Club is rescheduled for Saturday, May 16
- Camp Summit’s Jim and Linda Teague Golf Tournament scheduled for Monday, April 27, is rescheduled for Monday, August 31
Closed
- NorthPark Center until further notice
And the folks at Metrocare Services are emphasizing that their “professionals will assist individuals in accessing our mental health services and provide referrals for other services that may be needed. Especially in time like this, taking care of our mental well-being is a key component of staying physically healthy. The Metrocare Coronavirus Support Line for Dallas County residents is 214.743.1215.”
You may not think you need to take them up on the offer, but you just may know someone who might. Remember a helping hand is an empty hand if someone doesn’t take it.
