One of the great things about spring break is returning home to your own bed, kitchen and “stuff.” But what if you had no home to return to? That’s what countless homeless kids know all too well.
While Uptown is known for its restaurants, retailing and partying, it’s also where Incarnation House is trying to “prepare homeless and housing insecure youth for life success by providing access to educational, emotional and other support services.”
But to do this takes moolah. Jamie and Ian Charles and Alison and Mike Malone put their heads together to help raise the dollars. They needed something fun and fundraising. The result was Casino for a Cause on Friday, March 27, at The Hall on Dragon.
In addition to the games, live music and dinner, the Charleses and Malones had Claire and Dwight Emanuelson’s family join in as honorary co-chairs.
Single tickets for the evening are going for $150 per person and tables can be reserved for $1,500.
