Before the NorthPark fashions hit the runway in the Meyerson’s McDermott Hall, stories were revealed onstage how the disease had dramatically tested families. To rally the cry for more research and treatment funding, parents of deceased children and young survivors took a stand on the stage. One mother even used a laser sword to emphasize the need.
