Change is in the air for Art Ball 55: Seeing The DMA on Saturday, April 18. Leave it to Event Chair Brian Bolke to refresh the annual Dallas Museum of Art fundraiser. So, how are things going to be different?
To start with there will be no mammoth tent for the reception and dinner. Instead, Brian has arranged to have the entire night of cocktailing, dining and after-partying within the DMA. The evening will start with “Foreshadow: a cocktail reception looking 55 years forward” in the Barrel Vault, Sculpture Garden and South Concourse. It will be followed by “Déjà vu: a seated dinner, which takes guests 55 years back” in Hamon Atrium. To end the night will be “Mirage Le Club 55 After Ball: a club-like celebration in the Eagle Family Plaza.”
For the evening’s look, it’s officially black tie optional. However, this event attracts lovers of creativity, so the attire will definitely be eye-catching and mind-blowing. Remember, that before the Art Ball became the Art Ball, it was called the Beaux Art Ball and dramatic looks dazzled the night away.
Instead of the usual hold-your-hand-to-bid live auction, there will be “a compelling and highly curated luxury auction that is more of traditional silent auction in format, with the excitement of a live auction.” And if you recall Brian’s curating the Art Ball’s 2015 silent auction, you know it’s going redefine elegance, fun and one-of-a-kind.
Tickets range from $2,500 per person for the entire evening to $500 for one ticket to the after party only.
