According to Cristo Rey Dallas Board Member Cheryl Joyner,
“Students at Cristo Rey Dallas work one day a week at top businesses across North Texas, learning valuable professional skills while earning 65% of their college prep tuition.
“Drawing students from 51 zip codes, Cristo Rey Dallas provides a unique educational and work opportunity for students of families with limited resources. Ninety-five percent of these students will be the first in their family to go to college, thus creating a new future for themselves, their family and community.
“This year, we are celebrating the tremendous success of CRD’s STEM program. All 475+ students participate in the school’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math classes, as they are an integral part of the core curriculum. Today, CRD’s first graduates are studying electrical engineering, architecture, computer science, nursing, biology and more in universities such as Notre Dame, TWU, UNT and St. Mary’s.

“To assist the hardworking and deserving students, we invite forward-thinking friends in the Dallas community to join with us to support STEM for CRD students by helping underwrite the cost of a course, faculty salaries, classroom supplies and technology costs. Please visit cristoreydallas.org/donate, or mail a check to Cristo Rey Dallas, 1064 N. St. Augustine Drive, Dallas TX 75217 or email [email protected].”
