According to The Stewpot Alliance President Emily Turner,
“The Stewpot Alliance’s 12th Annual Soup’s On! Luncheon and Art Show fundraiser, to be held on Thursday, February 20, will be celebrating the achievements of The Stewpot of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas’ remarkable 45-year history of enhancing the quality of life for adults, children, and families experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty in Dallas.
“As The Stewpot enters a milestone year, the Omni Dallas Hotel will be our venue, and Judge Craig Mitchell, founder of the Skid Row Running Club and featured in the documentary ‘Skid Row Marathon’ (now streaming on Prime video, Apple TV, and Google Play), will be our speaker. We are thrilled that the presenting sponsor for this year’s luncheon will be Ben E. Keith.
“Don’t miss out on delicious soups served by some of Dallas’ finest chefs, led by Chef Brian C. Luscher of The Grape Restaurant fame. This year we’ve also introduced some exciting new benefits like one-of-a-kind spoons by Brad Oldham International for all guests at the Executive Chef and above sponsorship levels.
“Each ticket and table sold for Soup’s On! will assist in funding the vast portfolio of programming and services The Stewpot provides year-round to at-risk Dallas community members which includes providing meals, medical and dental services, counseling and case management, youth and family stabilization programs, educational and scholarship programs, as well as therapeutic and vocational activities.
“Our wish is that you will join us in filling the tables at Soup’s On! 2020 as we usher The Stewpot into their 45th year of service to our Dallas neighbors in need!
