With the 2019 Crystal Charity Ball less than six weeks away, plans are already underway for 2020 and 2021. Yup, you read it — 2021.
2020 CCB Chair Tucker Enthoven just sent word that Leslie Diers has been tapped to chair the 2021 fundraising for Dallas children’s nonprofits.
Since joining CCB in 2010, Leslie has made the rounds of CCB committees including underwriting, Children’s Book, ball reservations, casino prizes and gifts, ball portfolio and the former chairman’s dinner. Leading up to her chairmanship, Leslie will be co-chairing ball invitations for the upcoming gala on Saturday, December 7, and will serve as new member liaison in 2020.
According to Tucker, “Leslie’s extensive experience in the Dallas community, her proven fundraising skills, intellect, generous and kind spirit and commitment to this organization will ensure the continued success of Crystal Charity Ball.”
Holding a variety of volunteer leadership positions within the community, Leslie has chaired the Wilkinson Center’s Can Do! Luncheon and is on the alumnae board of The Hockaday School, where she has also been a past member of the Hockaday board of trustees and previous alumnae board president.
Touch of trivia: In 1973 Leslie’s father, fashion entrepreneur Lester Melnick, introduced plaid to The Hockaday School uniform that had previously been solid greens and whites.
