For 41 years the Children’s Medical Center Dallas Foundation Women’s Auxiliary has been celebrating the holidays with its Deck the Halls program at Children’s Medical Center Dallas.
For a $50 donation people and companies “receive a wreath, tagged with their name, to decorate. There are decoration guidelines including that all ornaments must be fire resistant, non-toxic, non-breakable, non-edible and large enough that they cannot be swallowed.”
This year the finished products must be returned to the hospital on Tuesday, November 19, from 9 to 11 a.m. and Wednesday, November 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Just before Thanksgiving, the Auxiliary will cover the hospital walls with the wreaths to get the children, their parents and staff members in the holiday spirit.
This year Co-Chairs Joanna Clark and Annie Fernandez just sent word that there are only four wreaths still available for decorating. So, don’t dilly-dally around. You can snatch up one of the remaining wreaths for $50 here. Then warm up your glue guns and get creative.
