After serving more than 40 years in the nonprofit sector, Hope’s Door New Beginning Center CEO Jim Malatich is retiring. Having CEO-ing for HDNB since March 2015, he picking up and heading to Costa Rica to take it easy.
As for his replacement, Board President Curtis Howard reported, “Our plan is to have the board select an internal executive director to give us time to consider the best permanent candidate to continue to move the agency forward.”
Curtis added, “We will miss Jim, but he deserves this next step and we all hope to be on his guest list to visit in Costa Rica.”
It was three years ago that Jim oversaw the coming together of Hope’s Door and New Beginnings. Thanks to this union, the Plano-based nonprofit offers “intervention and prevent services to individuals and families affected by intimate partner and family violence and to provide educational program that enhance the community’s capacity to respond.”
