According to Community Partners of Dallas President/CEO Paige McDaniel,
Remember the joy of getting a new set of school supplies? At Community Partners of Dallas, our kids are not approaching the start of the school year with the same excitement and support. Many will go back to school wishing for a new backpack or new uniforms. They just want to fit in!
Our Back to School Drive is one of the most important activities we do all year and we truly could not do it without the support of the community. This year we are so grateful to the Ruth and Warren Clark Legacy Foundation for their generous sponsorship toward uniforms, which combined with the help of the community, will enable us to provide new backpacks, school supplies and uniforms to more than 3,800 abused and neglected children.
In addition to supplies such as safety scissors, colored pencils, watercolor paint sets, markers, and construction paper, CPD especially needs backpacks, pencil pouches, 1” binders, pencil sharpeners, calculators and manila paper.
Those interested in supporting the 26th Annual Back to School Drive can do so through in-kind or monetary donations until Friday, August 30. Because of our bulk purchasing $1 donated equals $6 worth of school supplies and uniforms. All donations can be delivered to Community Partners of Dallas’ Central location, 7950 Elmbrook Drive or visit www.communitypartnersdallas.org for additional supply drop off locations.
Thank you for helping the kids we serve, go back to school with the all the supplies they need to start the year off right!
