KidneyTexas Inc. President Sandy Secor took the opportunity at the spring tea co-chaired by Nancy Connor and Kathy Cothrum at Clare Chaney‘s Swiss Avenue home to announce plans for the annual Runway Report “Transforming Lives.” Scheduled for Tuesday, September 24, at Brook Hollow Golf Club, the fashion show and luncheon will be chaired by Mari Epperson with Jan Strimple producing the runway presentation.
Artist Lynn Dealey has already created the “Transforming Lives” logo.
Sandy also revealed the lineup of the organization’s board. The 2019 officers include Advisory
Board Chair Therese Rourk, 1st Vice President Membership Barenda Hino, 2nd Vice President Luncheon Mari Epperson, 3rd Vice Presidents Charity Selection Gail Vesledahl and Barbara Gary, Recording Secretary Pam Brannon; Corresponding Secretary Jeannie Nethery, Treasurer Cindy Hanson, Treasurer-Elect Stacey Wiggins, Historian Natalie Taylor and Parliamentarian Mary Lee Cox.
Over the past 20 years, KidneyTexas Inc., has hauled in $3.5M “for provide funding to improve the methods of treatment, cure and presentation of kidney diseases and other kindred or contributory diseases, and to develop more adequate provision for the care of persons suffering from such diseases.”
