Despite loads of offices being closed for Good Friday, news is still happening. In this case, it’s over at Methodist Health System, where President/CEO Stephen Mansfield has announced that come Tuesday, April 23, he’ll transition to “CEO emeritus.”
According to Dallas Morning News Business Editor Paul O’Donnell, Stephen had told the system’s directors that he would retire at the end of the year. There was no explanation for why the date was moved up.
Former Nashville-based HCA Healthcare’s North Texas Division President James Scoggin Jr., who retired in 2013, will assume the role of Methodist’s interim CEO.
Taking over the role of President/COO will be Pam Stoyanoff, who has been Methodist’s executive VP and COO.
As for Stephen, he and his wife, Marilyn Mansfield, will remain in North Texas and stay involved with various nonprofits.
