The Dallas Arboretum is just busting to break a Guinness Book of World Records this Saturday, and they need help to do it. At 11 a.m. the Easter Bunny is going to attempt to create the Largest Bunny Hop ever. To do this, he needs as many big and little folks to hop-hop-hop on board.
But that’s not the only thing in store for Easter weekend at the Arboretum.
It all starts on Good Friday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Eddie Coker will hold his annual concert on the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn.
On Saturday and Sunday, the whole place will be hopping with egg-theme activities programs like the “Egg-streme Scavenger Hunt, egg- and face-painting, bunny-ear making, posing with live bunnies for photos by Christopher Ivey and eggs-periments” at the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden’s Plant Lab.
Unfortunately, if you had your heart set on Saturday’s Easter Egg Hunt and Sunday’s Easter Brunches at DeGolyer Restaurant, check with your cardiologist, because they’re both sold out. There is a wait-list for the brunch, so you might give it a try by calling 214.515.6511.

And if you’re not egg-cited about munchkin-like activities, then you can still take in the Arboretum grounds that are just busting with blossoms during the annual Dallas Blooms, as well as the Gary Lee Price “Celebrate the Children Exhibit” that just opened Monday thanks to Reliant.
Mother Nature is in the time-out corner this weekend, so the weather is supposed to be rather fabulous, with temperatures flirting with the 80s and sunglasses as the accessory du jour.
