JUST IN: 2019 Mad Hatters’ Judge Just Uncovered

Mar 8, 2019 3:30 PM by Jeanne Prejean

The Golden Age of Hollywood” (File photo)

To close down the week, 2019 Mad Hatter’s Co-Chairs Sharla Bush and Terry Irby along with Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum President Linda Spina gathered folks together just after noon to announce the hat judges for the annual topper competition on Thursday, April 11.

Held at L. Bartlett in Snider Plaza with New York hat designer Steven “New York Hat Designer to the Stars” Kokin providing food for thought, the location selection was all in the family. Sharla’s daughter Laura Bush Freeman operates L. Bartlett. If you want to compare notes with Steven, then head to Sharla’s shop, Sharla’s, in McKinney where he’s making a stop on Saturday.

As for the lineup of 2019 judges, they are locals Vodi Cook, Jenna Jenovich, Vivian Lombardi and Joani White and LA fashion designer Jonathan Simkhai.

So, start the designs with “The Golden Age of Hollywood” in mind, and please hold off on brow-beating and bribing the judges for a while. But do get your tickets and tables glued down now.
