Each year Dallas’ Anti-Defamation League holds a luncheon to honor “an attorney with a long-standing record of contributions to the legal profession, and who epitomizes ADL’s mission of securing justice and fair treatment for all” with the Larry Schoenbrun Jurisprudence Award.

This year’s pick of the North Texas legal litter is Mike “Grubes” Gruber, who started off life thinking he would be a blue-collar guy painting cars. But thanks to a turn of events he set his sights on the practice of law. In his years of practice, he has successfully tackled everything from an $18M sexual harassment verdict to a business fraud case against Shell Oil.
In addition to his courtroom efforts, Grubes has been heavily involved in community fundraising for the Dallas Zoo, Habitat for Humanity and the Southern Gateway Project.
According to Luncheon Honorary Co-Chairs Kevin Dahlberg, Alan Forantes and Royce West, “We personally know how deserving Mike is of his award and are delighted to have this opportunity to highlight his work in the community and the important work of ADL.”
A partner at Dorsey and Whitney, Mike will receive the award at the Larry Schoenbrunch Jurisprudence Award Luncheon on Thursday, May 23, at The Fairmont. Tickets and sponsorships are available here!
