Kim Schlegel Whitman is gonna have a very busy spring. In addition to her role as NorthPark’s Lifestyle and Fashion Ambassador of Luxury, Southern Living Magazine’s editor-at-large, chairing 2019 Children’s Cancer Fund Gala and raising two munchkins with husband Justin Whitman, she’s just taken on a new assignment. She’ll be hosting the Opening Preview Party for Dwell With Dignity‘s 2019 Thrift Studio on Thursday, April 4, at a location TBA.

For the past ten years, the studio has featured tableaux created by North Texas’ most talented designers. This year’s corral of designers include Judy Aldridge, Harbinger Designs, Alice Cottrell and Russell Brightwell, Maestri Studio, Brant McFarlain, Holly Hickey Moore, Peters Cates Design, and Pulp Design Studios.

Adding to the look for the studio will be artwork provided by Lydia Abigail, Jennifer Ayyad, Barbara Baldwin, Anne Beletic, Jessica Bell, Stephanie Bray, Teresa Bristol, Ginger Cochran, Foster Cranz, Carolyn Joe Daniel, Nicole Davis, Melissa Ellis, Ben Fluno, Jordan Gomez, Margaret Harris, Silky Hart, JoJo Herda, Stacie Hernandez, Andrea Holmes, Carolyn Kerr, Joyce Landry, Cathy Manning, Amy McKenzie, Christi Merril, Clare Minella, Ethan Moss, Roma Osowo, Gregory Piazza, Nataliya Plambeck, Mione Plant, Lori Rayfield, Margaret Rehwinkel, Laura Runge and Kristina Taherzadeh.

Ah, but it’s far more than a showcase of talent. It’s a treasure trove of goodies donated by area designers and artists with all proceeds going to Dwell with Dignity from Friday, April 5 thru Sunday, May 5 (Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Vets of past Thrift Studios know that a daily visit is a must during the run of show. Why? Because as merchandise is purchased and moved to new digs, new items are brought in to fill the space.

The Opening Preview allows guests to get a first look-and-buy opportunity fueled by cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

General admission is $125 for the seeing, sipping and shopping from 7 to 9 p.m. VIP tickets, which are going for $175, get you in at 6 ahead of the crowd for “an elevated culinary and mixology experience.”

So, get your interior decorator and save your pennies. Tickets ranging from $125 to $175 go on sale starting Tuesday, February 19, here! However, Host Committee tickets are going for $250 per person now!
