With the 14th Annual Life Lessons Luncheon less than a month away, final details have just been revealed for The Elisa Project (TEP) fundraiser at the Market Hall in the Dallas Market Center. Longtime TEP supporters/mother-daughter team Jan Showers and Elizabeth Showers will serve as honorary co-chairs.

According to TEP Executive Director Kimberly Martinez, “As we celebrate our 20th year, it is only fitting that we honor Jan and Elizabeth, who have supported the organization from the beginning.”
Receiving the Elisa McCall Star of Hope Award will be the Eating Recovery Center’s Dr. Ovidio Bermudez, who is a “nationally renowned expert in the field of eating disorders. He has worked to heal hundreds of TEP’s clients, and has been an avid champion, supporter and advocate for The Elisa Project since the agency’s inception.”

Also sharing the spotlight will be Ursuline Academy of Dallas seniors Kendall Griffin and Peyton Walker, who will receive the 2019 LEAD (Learn, Empower, Accept and Discover) Award. Kendall and Peyton have served as co-presidents of “a student-led organization sponsored by The Elisa Project that calls for students to make a difference in their communities by discussing challenging topics (body image, respect, self-esteem, leadership) and hosting school-wide awareness projects throughout the year.”
According to Kendall and Peyton, “The LEAD curriculum brings us together and helps us as we journey through tough and important times in our lives.”
In addition to the awards, Life Lessons Co-Chairs Abra Garrett and Heather McNamara have arranged to have actress and best-selling author Grace Byers as the featured speaker for the seated luncheon.
