You can never assume anything nowadays. While many folks had “assumed” that the 2019 St. Valentine’s Day Luncheon and Fashion Show’s return to NorthPark Center on Thursday, February 7, would automatically hold forth once again in the CenterPark Garden, they were a couple of steps ahead of the planning.
After all, to haul in a glamorama tent through the Center and erect it within hours of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of North Texas fundraiser was right up there with planning on being invited to Megan Markle’s baby shower.
Last night while the kick-off party was being held at a luxury salon (which due-to-circumstances cannot be named) with such folks as St. V-day Chair Christy Berry and NorthPark’s Sarah Haemisegger, the location of the “Look of Love” was just on the verge of being revealed.
As St. Valentine’s Day Event Founders Rusty Duvall and Janet Evans joined 2018 Co-Chair/Advisory Co-Chair Nancy Gopez, NorthPark marketing maven Kristen Gibbins and NorthPark Ambassadors Kim Alexander and Kim Hext along NorthPark’s splendiferous hallway between Neiman’s and Nordstrom’s for a quick photo, concerns were put to rest.
Earlier in the day, the strategically cool minds of NorthPark, LLS and the powers-that-be came together and agreed to return the lavish see-thru tent to the CenterPark Garden, with Leo Villareal’s “Buckyball” lording over the fashions, fun and fundraising.
