According to Cristo Rey Dallas Director of Development Abby Hoak-Morton,
“Partner with a Cristo Rey Dallas student.
“Do you remember your first job? Lifeguarding at the neighborhood pool? Slinging burgers at a fast food joint? Babysitting every weekend?
“And what about your motivation for earning those early paychecks? Date night? Car insurance? Or just the freedom of having your own pocket money?
“Every student at Cristo Rey Dallas works one day a week at one of Dallas’ top businesses such as AT&T, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Southwest Airlines, Jackson Walker, Mary Kay, PwC and RealPage…earning $8,400 toward their annual tuition.
“Yes, they work every week to pay for a college prep education and the opportunity to be the first in their family to go to college. Additionally, their parents contribute, based on economic ability, about $800 per family per year. Together, the students and their families cover more than 65% of the cost of their education.
“The remaining gap to cover the rest of tuition for the year is $3,200.
“We’re asking the community to Partner with these outstanding students and Invest the Rest. They have already demonstrated their commitment to achieve—rising an average of two grade levels in national testing and earning scholarships to top colleges and universities. Your investment will ensure they have the opportunity to continue on the path of excellence.
“Our hope is that each CRD student has a Partner who will Invest the Rest by contributing $3,200 each year. To support our students visit cristoreydallas.org or email [email protected] more information.”
