MySweetCharity Photo Gallery Alert: The Sweetheart Ball Tea

Dec 12, 2018 5:30 PM by Jeanne Prejean

The annual Sweetheart Ball tea is rather unique. Not only does it introduce the newest members of the organization that has provided millions of dollars for UT Southwestern‘s cardiology undertakings, it also provides an update by Southwestern’s leading experts to discuss developments and plans in the field of heart health.

John Rutherford, Daniel Podolsky, Lisa Troutt, Joe Hill and Jarett Berry

This year’s Ball Chair Lisa Troutt hosted the event on Thursday, October 25, at her home with committee members to learn about new members Teresa King and Laura Neely. For the speakers, Southwestern President Dr. Daniel Podolsky assembled a top-tier trio including Drs. John Rutherford, Joe Hill and Jarett Berry.

One of the pieces of news that was provided was the fact that in the past one out of three died from heart disease. Today that number is one out of four.

While the post is being finalized with more information provided by the Southwestern team and a new painting in the Troutts’ home, check out the pictures at MySweetCharity Photo Gallery.
