According to DIFFA/Dallas Young Professionals Branding/Marketing Chair Darrell Thomas,
“This holiday season, the DIFFA/Dallas Young Professionals Program wanted to fulfill a goal of providing more support to North Texas AIDS Service Organizations. While planning the 2018-2019 season, the leadership team thought the best way to help others was to make sure they are warm and ready to face the elements this upcoming winter.
“Our wish is for individuals to donate new or gently used coats and winter accessories for families of the AIDS Service Organizations that we serve. We will collect the items at our holiday social event, ‘Winter Warmup,’ on Tuesday, December 4, at Savor Gastropub from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
“What is DIFFA? Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA/Dallas) raises funds for organizations that aid in the fight against HIV/AIDS by providing preventative education programs, treatment and direct care services for people living with/impacted by HIV/AIDS. The Dallas chapter, formed in 1984, is the only HIV/AIDS organization in Texas that provides funding to local HIV/AIDS Service Organizations within our community. DIFFA/Dallas has granted more than $8 million to over 25 front line HIV/AIDS Service Organizations in North Texas providing direct care to those living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
“The DIFFA/Dallas Young Professionals Program is a passionate group of volunteers, between the ages of 21 – 40, consisting of influential individuals in the community from various professional backgrounds. The group enhances the initiatives of DIFFA/Dallas and local HIV/AIDS service organizations in addition to creating social networking and professional development opportunities for its members.
