Plans for the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary‘s 27th annual Fashion Show and Luncheon have just been announced. Chairing the event will be fundraising vet Elizabeth Gambrell, who revealed there has been a venue change. While it’s been at the Meyerson the past couple of years, it’s moving next door to the Winspear on Tuesday, May 7.

According to Elizabeth, “Proceeds from the fashion show and luncheon will provide hope to the hungry, homeless, friendless and so many others in crisis in our community. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with a wonderful group of volunteers to help make positive change in this way and look forward to the event at our new venue.”

But not to worry. Jan Strimple will still be producing the fashion show of donated and new couture clothing that will be auctioned off following the show; The Chic Boutique will be laden with “gently worn or never-worn designer clothing and accessories donated by some of North Texas’ best dressed and finest retailers.” The WearHouse Sale will be a two-day wonder on Friday May, 10, and Saturday, May 11, at The Salvation Army’s Christmas and Disaster Center on Harry Hines.

Sponsorships and tickets for the reception, silent auction, fashion show and seated luncheon are $300 and can be here.

BTW, open the doors of your closet and start eyeballing candidates for donations.
