As thunderstorms rumbled overhead, the Cattle Baron’s Ball gals valet-parked or sought cover at NorthPark’s covered garages on Thursday, September 20. Instead of being glued to the computer screens to monitor North Texas Giving Day, the gals with perfect complexions and no-split-ends looked right at home surrounded by David Yurman goodies.

While the David Yurman motorcycle was parked in the window and an obvious eye-catcher in the side room, there were no takers for a ride and the brilliant CBB silent auction item of gold and diamond bangle bracelet was front and center for guests like 2018 CBB Co-Chairs Katy Bock and Jonika Nix, Heather Randall, Cara French and Tootsie’s’ Nerissa Von Helpenstill and Dustin Holcomb to check out.
CBB committee member Nancy Gopez was still bright and shiny about the North Texas Food Bank’s Harvest just 24 hours away. When someone hinted that a flash-flood warning was on the menu, the Harvest co-founder looked shocked saying, “Really!?”

On their way out to still other events were JB Hayes and past CBB Co-Chairs Cara French and Anne Stodghill, who claimed she was being a dutiful wife for the office-warming at husband Steve Stodghill’s new digs.
Besides gem gazing and grape sipping, the popular activity of the night was filling out raffle chances for a Park Place vehicle valued at $58,000, a $10,000 PlainsCapital debit card, Bachendorf’s diamond earrings valued at $11,000, a $10,000 Highland Park Village shopping spree, a Eiseman Jewels and Rolex watch valued at $10,300 and a $5,000 Eatzi’s Market and Bakery gift card.
