Once again North Texas Giving Day proved that generosity is a natural resource in these parts that only grows with time and effort. As the clock struck midnight, the donations were still coming in resulting in more than $48M and 400,000 pledged hours for thousands of area nonprofits.
They topped last year’s record breaker of $39M by $9M!
Hopefully, the folks at Communities Foundation of Texas who “powered” the effort will be in recovery mode after a year of planning the 18-hour money marathon because they have only 365 days to break this record.
Congratulations to CFT, the nonprofits, Honorary Chair Laura Bush and the countless number of people who will benefit from the generosity of North Texans.
PS – You’ll probably see a drop in emails today.
