According to Triumph Over Alzheimer Founder Leslie Ann Crozier,
In January of 2017, Harvard University’s Dr. Rudy Tanzi, in Forbes magazine, said “Alzheimer’s will be the biggest epidemic in medical history. I’m shocked that people are not panicked about what this disease is going to do to the country.” Ten months later, in the same publication, Dr. Tanzi asserted that “curing Alzheimer’s is not a science issue, it’s now a funding issue.”
The decades of laser-focused research Dr. Tanzi and other researchers, such as Dr. Roger Rosenberg at UT Southwestern Medical Center, have been conducting in the field have produced vanguard science that is ever closer to my goal of triumphing over Alzheimer’s.
The statistics are startling. Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in America and is perhaps the costliest disease in medical history with an estimated tab of more than $1.1 trillion over the next several decades.
Triumph Over Alzheimer’s, a non-profit organization, was founded to raise funds that directly benefits the type of research that these world-renowned doctors are conducting.
