While The Salvation Army DFW Command is helping conquer the heat with their “Cooling Stations” seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the area, they’re already planning for cooler times ahead. Besides the annual Red Kettle drive, they’ve just revealed that former Exxon CEO/chairman and most recently the nation’s 69th U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will be the keynote speaker at the 2018 Annual Doing the Most Good Luncheon on Thursday, November 15.
Co-Chairs Bernice J. Washington and Sam Coats have all in place for the luncheon at the Hilton Anatole’s Chantilly Ballroom. They’ve even arranged for Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price and Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings to be honorary co-chairs.
BTW, this one is going to be a definite sell-out. The question is how quickly will it happen. Sponsorships and tickets are available by contacting Vanessa Palmer at 214.637.8229.
