The 6th Annual Concert for a Cure is showing love for a couple of local universities. They’re holding this year’s Leukemia Texas fundraiser at The Rustic on Thursday, September 7, the night before the SMU-TCU game at Gerald Ford Stadium. Just imagine all those mustangs and horned frogs partying it up!
Co-Chairs Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo have not only arranged to have Morning Dose’s Jenny Anchondo return as emcee, they’ve got Austin-based Jason Boland and The Stragglers performing. No doubt the Red Dirt band will be performing tunes from “Hard Times Are Relative” that was just released in May.
While the title sponsorship has already been snapped up, other underwriter levels are still available, as are reservations. Check out the VIP level going for $75 per person. Not only does it include a private reception starting at 7 p.m. complete with hors d’oeuvres and unlimited select drinks, but it also has reserved VIP seating and valet parking.
