According to The Hope Center volunteer Julie Dearien,

“Join us on Thursday, September 20, for part two of our three-part speaker series, ‘The Hope Center Critical Conversations Speaker Series,’ featuring leaders from a variety of industries providing wisdom and direction for how Christians are to respond to the trials of our current culture with love and a biblical perspective.

“Part two will feature Os Guinness, Senior Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics, worldwide speaker, and advocate of religious freedom. Os was born in China during World War II where his parents were medical missionaries. A witness to the climax of the Chinese revolution in 1949, he was expelled with many other foreigners in 1951 and returned to Europe where he graduated from the University of London then Oriel College, Oxford. Os has written or edited more than 30 books, was a freelance reporter with the BBC, and, as Executive Director of the Williamsburg Charter Foundation from 1986-1989, helped draft ‘The Williamsburg Charter’ and ‘The Global Charter of Conscience.’
“Reserve your spot today and invite your friends to join us as we learn how to respond to the trials of our day with Biblical truth and love at The Hope Center, 2001 West Plano Parkway.
“Cost:
- $30 for individuals
- $500 for table sponsors (8). Table sponsors will receive preferred seating for 8 and are invited to attend the private meet-and-greet and photo op with Os Guinness prior to the program.”
