Help Your Clothes Find Their Way To Women In Need Thanks To Suits For Shelters This Month

Jul 3, 2018 1:30 PM by Jeanne Prejean

While this past June was one of the hottest ones in recent times, July ain’t looking so cool, either. How about a neat project that will make room in that crammed closet of yours? Face it. There are wonderful clothes in there that you haven’t touched since you gained/lost that ten pounds. And there are other items that were so fashionable five years ago, but now they’re as trendy as a lava lamp. It’s time to part ways with those suits, dresses, accessories and old thread friends.

Now, that you’ve made your mind up to “edit” your closet, the question is, “What the heck do I do with them?” Mary Kay’s adorable duo Maleiah and Ryan Rogers have the perfect answer: Suits for Shelter.

A part of the Mary Kay Foundation’s “Don’t Look Away” program, Maleiah and Ryan are spearheading the transition of gently experienced “professional attire and accessories” for the use of local survivors of domestic violence.

The whole process is as simple as one-two-three:

  1. Edit your closet,
  2. Drop off your clothes at Tootsies now through Saturday, August 4, and
  3. Receive a $25 Tootsies gift card as a thank you.

BTW, Tootsies is closed Sundays and the Fourth of July.
