Thanks to the weather being on its best behavior, Claire and Dale Cunningham had a chance to take in some of the 23 acres of the Juliette Fowler Communities on Wednesday, April 11. The couple were able to see Ebby’s House and the various facilities that provide memory care, skilled nursing, affordable housing and independent and assisted living.
As a longtime East Dallas resident and advocate, Claire was nominated to receive the Visionary Woman Award for her work on many East Dallas projects, including the Dallas Arboretum as well her work in helping desegregate Dallas schools in the 1970s.
After touring the grounds with Juliette Fowler Communities President/CEO Sabrina Porter and 2018 Visionary Women Luncheon Chair Amy Green, the group attended a tea honoring Claire and Erika McKenzie Volunteer Awardee Natalie Morin, who will be presented officially with their awards on Friday, April 20.
Joining Claire and Natalie were luncheon committee members Jill Bryan, Monica Cowsert, Barb Eubank, Ken Hubbell, Lesly Huffman, Anita Ivancevic, Jamie Knodel, Jay Thames, Brina Tignor and Cindy Wabner.
