There are things that one can depend on. Memorial Day signals the seasonal evacuation of North Texas. First responders will charge in where angels fear to tread. Christmas decorations start springing up earlier and earlier each year.
And Laurie Harrison will always throw a party that starts before the guests enter the front door. That’s exactly what she did on Thursday, April 26, for the Dallas Children’s Theater’s 35 anniversary fundraiser. From Humperdink the camel greeting guests in the front lawn to the Egyptian boat floating in the pool with a dramatic Nile backdrop, it was epic. Only thing missing were Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
