Despite July’s heat making a premature arrival in May, fundraiser keep churning out the news. The latest comes from Beth Thoele. You know her. She chaired the Wilkinson Center’s Can Do! Lunch in 2017 and the Callier Cares Luncheon this past April. Well, the gal evidently lives for lunch and has signed on board to chair The Senior Source’s 25th Anniversary Spirit of Generations Awards Luncheon on Halloween (aka Wednesday, October 31) at the Hilton Anatole.
This year’s honorees will be Sandra Estess and her husband the late Dr. Henry Estess, who died this past January “as a result of complications associated with Parkinson’s disease.” The couple have been tireless supporters of the area’s nonprofits through their philanthropy and volunteer.
Just last fall the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Great Dallas presented the Estesses with the Outstanding Philanthropists Award at their 32nd Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon.
If you’re too young to know about The Senior Source, it’s been “the go-to nonprofit for aging services” in greater Dallas since 1961 with roots that go back to 1948 when “The E.D. Foundation was established to provide assistance to the elderly of Texas.”
