Overlooking the big Hall Hole (aka Future Home of Hall Arts Residences) and with a perfect view of the figures of Steinunn Thorarinsdottir‘s Paths, 2014, climbing exterior wall of Halls Arts, the 2018 Art Ball patrons like Jennifer and John Eagle, Catherine Rose, Laura and Walter Elcock, Agustin Arteaga and Carlos Gonzalez-Jaime, Lisa and John Runyon, Lynn McBee, Missy Wyszynski, Brooke Hortenstine and Cynthia Calabrese gathered on Thursday, April 5, at KPMG Plaza second level. With the nearby Cathedral chimes sounding at 7 p.m., the crowd was as colorful as the upcoming Art Ball promised to be with its theme of Now • New • Next: Horizon.

Art Ball Chair Rebecca Fletcher in a floor-length dress from Merry Vose’s Canary welcomed guests telling them that husband Barron Fletcher and mom and dad Bess and Ted Enloe were on their way.
When one guest asked Hall Arts Residences Director of Sales Lea Anne Laughlin if art-loving Kathryn and Craig Hall would joining them, she said they were out of town.
Live Auction Co-Chair Brian Bolke and Faisal Halum reported that the nine auction items were all tied up. When asked how he was doing, Brian said, “I’ve been resting … and working on this darn auction.”

Neiman’s was well represented by Mimi Sterling and Kevin Hurst, who reported that new NM President Geoffroy van Raemdonck had had very little time in Dallas. He’s been visiting the stores for the past month. Will philanthropy fit in the new regime’s plans? Kevin gave a definite, “Yes!”
But Geoffroy and his husband Alvise Orsini will be at the Art Ball at the Dallas Museum of Art on Saturday, April 21.
