Spring is the time of year when the housing market flourishes like the flowers at the Dallas Arboretum. It’s also when homebuilders start plotting, planning and building the adorable mini-mansions for Dallas CASA’s 23rd Annual Parade of Playhouses.
Once again the “parade” will get underway at NorthPark Center. But this year’s it going to take place around the Fourth of July, starting Friday, June 29, and winding up on Sunday, July 15, with the announcement of the winning tickets for the cottages.
Longtime Dallas CASA supporter Jim Thompson will be returning as honorary chair.
Also making an encore participation will be builders and architects Beck Architecture LLC, Bob Borson, Buford Hawthorne Homebuilders, Butscher Construction, Crest Cadillac/Infiniti, Harman, Christiaan Lujik and Redlee/SCS.
Crest Dallas is taking up double duty by also being the presenting sponsor.
Whether this would be your first time to check out the parade or you’re an oldtimer, each year the custom-built playhouses are marvels that mesmerize kids of all ages.
It’s absolutely free for the viewing, but chance tickets to win a playhouse will be sold online and at ticket tables throughout NorthPark Center. Proceeds from the event will benefit the abused children served by Dallas CASA.
