According to Young Women’s Preparatory Network CEO Lynn McBee,
“My wish is to be able to provide test prep for all of the students that we represent through the Young Women’s Preparatory Network. At Young Women’s Preparatory Network, we support single-gender, college-preparatory, public education in Texas, giving young women the academic and leadership skills to achieve success in college, and in life. We have partnerships with eight schools, grades 6th-12th, throughout the state of Texas that are built on the core values of leadership, college readiness and health and wellness. We work within the system to amplify the impact of the public dollar through enhancements to the public school curriculum. These schools are located in areas of the highest need, 68% of the students are economically disadvantaged and 68% of the students are 1st generation college students.
“These students need test prep to achieve better scores on the PSAT, ACT and SAT that will help them in their pursuit of college acceptance and scholarships, enabling them to afford and persist through college. Test prep costs between $200-$250 per student.
“My wish is that we are able to provide this for all of our high school students, with the generosity of the wonderful community. With your help, we can provide these young women with the tools necessary to break the cycle of poverty through higher education.
