According to Equest Women’s Auxiliary President Beth Layton,
“Equest Women’s Auxiliary is not only a fund-raising organization to support Equest Therapeutic Horsemanship programming, but it is also a volunteer recruitment vehicle as well.
“The Auxiliary’s main fundraiser, the annual Luncheon and Style Show, slated for Tuesday, September 29, at Brook Hollow Golf Club offers many ways for individuals to support our great cause. Raffle ticket sales, luncheon set up and registration just a few of the roles that are important to the event’s success.

“We began our 2015 Auxiliary programming with a beautiful seated luncheon hosted by Equest board member/NM Downtown General Manager and VP Jeff Byron in The Zodiac at the NM flagship.
“Jeff explained to the Auxiliary volunteers, board members and luncheon committee that he is inspired not only by the ‘clients’ who are part of the therapeutic riding, but he is also moved by dedicated volunteers at the riding facility and the dedicated volunteers who work in the community to bring awareness and funding to Equest. That has set the tone for 2015.
“The Auxiliary’s mission is to provide all types of support, through voluntarism, to Equest on every level. We encourage anyone interested in horsemanship, therapy or just making use of your individual skills to become a part of Equest. The rewards of volunteering and becoming involved will be meaningful to everyone touched by this incredible program well beyond the annual luncheon.
