Jamie Singer has only been executive director of TeamConnor Childhood Cancer Foundation since December, but she’s already added Kathryn Copple to the team. Kathryn has just been named development manager of the TeamConnor that provides funding to “new treatment options after other treatment plan have failed” for children suffering from childhood cancer.
With nine years of experience working event planning, client relationship management and fundraising, Kathryn explained her role with TeamConnor this way: “Childhood cancer kills more children each year than cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, asthma and AIDs combined. As an advocate and face for childhood cancer, I am hoping to further Team Connor’s mission, bring awareness and raise more funds for childhood cancer research.”
TeamConnor was founded in 2008 by Joy Cruse while her son Connor Cruse was battling neuroblastoma cancer. Despite Connor’s succumbing to the disease, the foundation has remained “committed to fight for all children who are battling cancer.”
