The Dallas Contemporary team is high-fiving each other. Seems they have “been awarded a grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Art Innovation and Management program (AIM).”
According to DC Executive Director Peter Doroshenko, it’s a two-parter. They’ll receive $75,000 this year. Next year they’ll be “eligible for the same amount.” To be eligible for Part Deux, the Dallas Contemporary is “required to secure 20% in matching funds, achieve 100% board participation in fundraising and maintain information in the Texas Cultural Data Project.
AIM’s aim is to “strengthen 300 small and mid-sized arts organization in six cities” across the nation: Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Dallas.
